Following our Children Around
Someone once said that they got to see a lot more of the country because their children moved around alot. Cheryl and I are finding this to be true. We are seeing things that we probably would never have seen. From the redwoods of northern Cal. to the cold of Wisconsin and from Florida to L.A. we have had the joy of seen the U.S.A. along with our sons. We spent the last 2 weekends seeing our sons one in Chicago and one in Des Moines. Todd and Sarah came to see her parents in Chicago and we were invited to come too. We were only able to spend one evening with them but it was great fun. Dave and Kim (Sarah's parents) are great people and a true joy to be around. they welcomed us with open arms and we able to spend time haveing some great conversations with them. This past weekend we went to Des Moines to see Brad. We walked with him and his friends in the Susan Komen Race for The Cure(he and his friends ran we walked). This is a unique thing to do it is like a special bond we have because of Cheryl's struggle with Breast Cancer. Two very unique weekends in two very different places but as a parent the problem is that the time was way two short.
