Happy Birthday To Me
Well last Monday was my birthday, I am now 59 years old. When a person is young they always want to be older but when you get older you sometimes want to roll back the years. Sometimes I would like to do just that at least roll back my age so that at least my body did not ache so much. But, I am who I am and I am the age I am and I can't change all that. I am happy with my age I have lived a good life. I have a great family, a good job, good friends and for the most part good health. I am to the point that I have more patience and a certain amount of intelligence and the maturity not to show what I don't know too often.
Both of my sons called me on my birthday and it is always the highlight of that day for me. Oh I talk to them often but something about them taking time on my birthday to call makes it special. Cheryl made it a very special day for me, as she always does. In my early years I wanted to go out party now I am very content to stay home and enjoy a more quiet day. So the years roll on and as the saying goes "I woke up on the right side of the grass today so it must be a good day"
